Dorothea Elisabeth nee Hoffmann Lüning, widow of Peter Lüning, following the death of her husband became owner of Farm 9 according to an inheritance decree of July 1, 1820, that divided her husband’s assets between her and her children.  The value of the estate was 1,000 thalers.

Peter Lüning, according to the May 2, 1831, sworn testimony of the witnesses Johann Scheffler and Andreas Kurz received the property from his father-in-law, Christian Wiesenthal, as a dowry when he married his first wife, Anna Sophia Wiesenthal, more than 40 years ago.  He always possessed the property peacefully and undisturbed.

Therefore, the title of ownership for the property consisting of 39 ½ morgen was registered in the name of the widow Lüning on the basis of the inheritance claim and the testimony of the witnesses by decree on March 15, 1832.

Johann Gottlieb Lüining, a Holländer, and his wife, Anna Rosina, née Marten, who was born on March 23, 1812, pursuant to the court settlement of May 5, 1831, purchased the property from his mother, Dorothea Elisabeth nee Hoffmann Lüning for 304 thalers and 5 silver groschen.
