1825
Prior to 1825 the estate was sold to Kasmir von Paliszewski. He was bound by the conditions of the previous contracts. The farmer proprietors of his estate were entitled to free building and fencing timber and free pasture for their entire livestock on the forests and meadows belonging to him. In addition, the farmers had the right to freely remove clay and field stones for their buildings from the Landlord’s property.
In 1825 Paliszewski applied to the Royal General Commission for Grand Duchy of Poznan for redemption of the wood and grazing rights of the farmers in his forests. Five years later he signed an agreement titled, Auseinandersetzungs-Rezess von Gembicer Hauland ceding ownership of his property to 39 Holländer families.
The Preibisch Survey
In 1826 surveyor by the name of Preibisch was hired to survey the current ownership plots, forest areas, and common grazing meadows and created a map of the estate. The map below was used as the basis for the agreement to transfer the ownership of the plots of land to the 39 farmers.
