Johann Martin Wegner following the death of his wife Catharina nee Hoeft sold a 20 Morgen third partition of Property 5, by contract to Wilhelm Kurtz (1834-1868) and his wife Henriette nee Hahnefeld (1841-1886) both from Gembitz Hauland for 600 Thaler on September 22, 1865. This contract was registered on March 2, 1866.
Typhus struck the Gembitz Hauland parish in the winter of 1868. Wilhelm dies from the disease on February 2, 1868. Wilhelm and Henriette have two surviving daughters, Ottilie Auguste (1864-1930) and Emma Auguste (born 1866) who each receive an inheritance from their father of 87 Thaler, 3 Silbergroschen and 6 Pfennig. Ottilie would later marry Friedrich Kumke and become the owner of Property 13 in Polajewo Hauland.
Following the settlement of her husband’s estate on April 29th and July 2nd Henriette is registered the owner of the property on July 28, 1868. Prior to that date Henriette married Wilhelm Ludwig Fischer (1838-1906) in Gembitz Hauland on June 14th.
While they were married when the estate of Wilhelm Kurz was closed Wilhelm Fischer was not recorded as a joint owner of the property until March 12, 1886. On March 17th he presented a marriage certificate and the registration was completed on March 24th. Two days later Henriette dies.
Wilhelm Fischer and Henriette nee Hahnefeld had six surviving children at the time of her death. On June 8, 1888 a mother’s inheritance of 1,408 Marks and 20 Pfennig was registered giving Pauline Albertine (born 1869), Gustav Otto (born 1873), Ewald Hermann (1875-1945), Mathilde Auguste (born 1877), Emil August (born 1879), and Alwine Bertha (1882-1906) 234 Marks and 70 Pfennig each. No provision was made for the two Kurz children from the mother’s first marriage.
Wilhelm Ludwig Fischer married Emilie Ottilie nee Tonn (1859-1930), the niece of his first wife, on May 18, 1887. Following the settlement of his first wife’s estate the property was registered jointly to Wilhelm and Ottilie on July 9, 1888.
Wilhelm Ludwig died on May 19, 1906. Following his death his widow owns the property until she transfers the ownership to her son Hermann Emil Fischer (born 1888) and his wife Emma Gehrke on July 17, 1912. The couple own the property until the war.
