Property 13 – Polajewohauland

August and Julianne nee Wolff Eichstadt sold a portion of Property 9 consisting of 2 Morgen of farmland and 8 Morgen of pasture to the cottager from Gembitz Hauland, Ludwig Otto (1821-1886) and his wife Wilhelmine nee Kuhn (1837-1872) for 415 Thaler on July 14, 1864.

The Otto’s sold the property to Karl August Henke (1842-1929) and his wife Ernestine Wilhelmine nee Grundmann (1843-1935) for 330 Thaler on June 10, 1871.

The Henke’s owned the property for only a short time selling it for 525 Thaler to Johann Wanke (born 1837) and his wife Anna Louise Antonie nee Henke (1844-1884) the previous owners of Property 14 on September 14, 1874.

On March 28, 1884, two days after giving birth to a daughter Ottilie Sophie Wanke, Louise nee Henke Wanke dies. 

Johann Wanke, following his wife’s death, receives full title to the property on February 13, 1888 following the satisfaction of an inheritance contract with his children Emma Emilie (born 1869), Johann Ewald (born 1872), Emma Louise (born 1877) and Richard Helmuth (born 1880) in which each sibling was to receive 34 Marks dated February 23, 1885.

Following the registration of the inheritance contract Wanke sold the property on September 28, 1888 for 2,280 Marks to Martin Friedrich Kumke (1859-1931) and his wife Ottilie Auguste nee Kurz (1864-1930).

Prior to their deaths the Kumke’s transferred ownership of the property to their grandniece Anna Hedwig Schendel (born 1906) on July 30, 1927.  On March 3, 1930 Anna Hedwig married Erich Hugo Schedler (born 1907).  The property was registered jointly in 1936.
