1877 It was determined again that the church would need 240 Marks to operate. The levy was again set at 36 pfennigs for each pfennig of klassensteuer that was levied by the government. At the end of the year the community reported that they had collected 259 Marks and 20 Pfennig for the support of the parish. A small decrease from 1876. Comparing the tax list for 1877 with that of 1876 you are able to note changes in ownership and citizenship during the year. It is also worthy to note that in 1876 records there is direct correlation to status and the amount of tax owed. In the 1877 records that correlation is broken. The records for this year more likely reflect the earning potential of the person rather than their status in the community.
