1879 For 1879 it is important to note that while the class tax remained the same the parish tax on each taxpayer increased from 36 Pfennigs per Pfennig of Klassensteurer to 40 Pfennigs. In 1876 265 Marks and 14 Pfennigs was levied against 126 taxpayers. For 1879 the parish levy was increased to 271 Marks and 20 Pfennigs against 118 taxpayers. There is a noticeable reduction in the number of day laborers on this list. 1879 was the last year of this tax list in this document. Records show a significant emigration of whole families from this parish during the period 1882 – 1885. If the records exist they would likely reveal an increase of the tax upon each remaining family.
